Meet Martin, the creep lurking in the shadows. His fingers are all thumbs and he eats processed meat out of the packet endlessly. Come and let him smell your hair. You will be touched.

I only applied to one venue because it was my ideal venue and because I wasn’t sure I would be ready for Edinburgh, so this will be fun. It’s the Cinema Room of the Banshee Labyrinth, which is part of the free fringe and an ideal space, as this show mixes filmed and live content. It’s deconstructed in the sense it’s a power point presentation presented by me, about the show, with bits where Martin rears his ugly head/s. I’m on at lunchtime, so it’s completely inappropriate. Join me.

Meet Martin. His fingers are all thumbs and he stands just behind you, gently touching your back. You hear him breathe in and you wonder if he just sniffed your hair.

This is a character that comes easily to me, because he has always been there, lurking in the shadows. Join me for a work-in-progress exploration of what promises to eventually become a disturbing and repulsive full show.

It’s Les Dennis’s birthday so join us for his official 70th birthday party!

Scribble Pie is a Show and Tell for adults, where people who've made something or are in the process of making something get up and show people, so that might be a performance if they're a performer, or a talk or a demonstration if they're not. We'll have a wide variety of things, all presented by our dedicated host, Emilia Crimble.

Expect: imaginary music, a focus group for children, bad poetry, award winning film, teenagers photographing men they think are hot, sweaty stripping from the winner of a Lifetime Achievement award and pieces of birthday pie handed out by Les Dennis's brother.

Feat: Misha Patel, Celia Willis, Posey Mehta, Henry van der Beek, Nadine Wild Palmer, Jonny Rankin, Tiyu Mortley, Pete Strong and Les Dennis's brother

So come on down for a night of wonder, excitement, and probably more than a little bit of mayhem!

In the heart of the British countryside, prophet and visionary Ram of God leads his flock in a life of simple devotion. Followers are encouraged to live by the principles of Ram: joy in the everyday, the chasing of pleasure, release of pride and obedience. The apocalypse, scheduled in the year 2028, lurks in the distance.

With influences from seventies horror to cult documentaries, music videos and cereal adverts, 'Ram of God' is a playful takedown of masculinity and its shadowy cheerleaders that joyfully tackles the new possibilities and limitations of presenting theatre on screen.

As part of my R&D for Ram of God, the Arts Council have funded this free Zoom workshop run by my very favourite bouffon clown Serena Flynn.

Using Anthropological theory, Lecoq exercises and personal self-work, we will explore how to delight in the things about ourselves that we think we should hide, find the funny in our flaws and learn to take the space on stage.

Open to performers of any level.

Limited spaces available.

Please note that this is a practical workshop and active participation is required.

To secure a space, please email serenaflynn88@gmail.com and tdbeek@gmail.com with a sentence or two about your practice and why you would like to take part in the workshop. Please let us know if you have any access needs or barriers to participation.

One of the good things to come out of all the bad things this year is that it’s forced people to find new ways to create. Even though stage shows were cancelled, people have still been performing in strange and imaginative ways. I’m really happy to have been able to take part in international fringes like Wellington, it’s nothing like either the performer or the audience being there but for my part it’s given me a connection to another part of the world I wouldn’t have been able to go to physically (because time/money/energy). This fringe looks really cool.

I TOLD YOU THE APOCALYPSE WAS COMING

Fresh from its international premiere at Stockholm fringe, Ram of God the film graces your screens for the blessed month of October. Developed with Soho Theatre's cabaret & drag lab and funding from Arts Council England, the raucous live show that never (yet) was is reimagined as a film. With influences from seventies horror to cereal adverts, Ram of God is a playful takedown of masculinity and its shadowy cheerleaders, and asks the question: to what extent patriarchy is a cult in which women are socialised to follow and men are socialised to lead.

Featuring original music by award winning composer Adam Jonota Bzowski and music transposed from a detail in Hieronymous Bosch's painting 'The Garden of Earthly Delights', printed on a man's naked backside in hell, the film playfully tackles the new possibilities and limitations of presenting theatre on screen.

Content warning: (15) references to drug & alcohol abuse, scenes of mental distress and suicide, graphic scenes of fantasy sex, nudity, mind control, sexual abuse and brainwashing.

For 3 Fridays in a row, the bearded lady will be out on the town in London, in the very venue where it all began, many years ago. I was asked to write a monologue for an evening of monologues at The Gift Horse at the Horse & Stables pub on Westminster bridge road and came up with a bearded lady, tortured by the fact that her beard was stuck on with glue and she had been living a lie. Gradually the show developed into a full length piece that has journeyed all over the UK, as well as countries as varied as Scotland and Australia. Join me for VAULT festival on the 28th Feb, or the 6th or 13th March. We will revel aplenty!
