Drawing upon the eccentric world of twitchers, and inspired by the wonderful sex lives of birds, The RSPLB is an amateur bird watching society and expert dating agency.
Embark with us on a madcap quest for love, a spectacle of romance, an impressive array of courtship displays and all round ornithological mayhem.
The RSPLB is an entirely immersive experience; brought to life by a team of performers offering a wealth of ornithological and romantically inspired activities.
The RSPLB was first commissioned for The Park field at Glastonbury festival 2010. Now housed in an encampment of retro frame tents, it features The Clubhouse, The Twitchers Discotheque, The Love Nest bedroom and the hidden Pour Your Heart Out Bar (entrance reserved only for the broken hearted).
Whether you are a wishful thinker, secret admirer or perpetual singleton; a repeat offender, bleeding heart or timid romantic, we'll welcome you with open arms to find a mate for life (or for the night) in a rather different way...

Colectivo Ultima Hora is an artist collective based in Mexico City. They make impressive, large scale structures and automaton or 'alebrijes'. These are traditional Mexican mythical beings that can be any mix of bird or beast real or imagined. I met the collective in 2010 and worked with them for several months, and have since assisted on 3 more projects - twice in Mexico City, and once in Copenhagan, where they were comissioned by the Museum of Copenhagan.
